Custom Catering from a Downtown Raleigh Scratch Kitchen
Flour & Barrel is a guest-focused Italian kitchen, cocktail bar, and brewery in downtown Raleigh, built around the old meaning of hospitality love of the stranger. Our catering brings that same spirit to your table, wherever you’re gathering. Led by Executive Chef Katsuji Tanabe (Top Chef, Chopped) alongside Chef de Cuisine Matthew Parker, our team makes pastas and breads from scratch and turns them into food people remember long after the plates are cleared.
We don’t sell cookie-cutter packages. Instead, we build a custom menu around your event – the headcount, the room, the vibe, and the food you actually want to serve. Whether it’s a tray of pasta dropped off for a staff lunch or a full-service spread with on-site staff and a bartender, we scale the experience to fit. Want to see what we’re known for first? Take a look at our food menu most of it travels beautifully, and we keep a few catering-only items in the back pocket too.

Events We Cater in Raleigh
There’s no event too big or too small. We cater everything from a working lunch for a dozen people to a full restaurant buyout.
Corporate Catering & Office Lunches
Feeding a team shouldn’t be complicated. We deliver crowd-pleasing trays of sandwiches, salads, and pastas for staff lunches, board meetings, training days, and client events and we can set up recurring catering for offices that order on a regular schedule. For larger gatherings, we also host corporate events on-site, including private room reservations and full restaurant buyouts See Corporate Catering & Office Lunches details below, or jump straight to a quote request.
Wedding & Rehearsal Dinner Catering
Rehearsal dinners, welcome gatherings, and intimate receptions are right in our wheelhouse. Homemade pasta, shareable plates, and a real bar program make for a warm, personal celebration — and our private events team can help you plan the whole evening, including beer, wine, and cocktail service.
Private Parties & Birthday Celebrations
Birthdays, anniversaries, retirement dinners, reunions — if it’s worth celebrating, it’s worth good food. We can cater your party at your space or host the group with us. For on-site gatherings, our parties page covers group dining and our private room.
Holiday & Networking Events
Holiday parties and networking mixers come together fast with passed appetizers, build-your-own pasta stations, and beverage packages. Because we make menus to order, it’s easy to match the food to the format — whether guests are mingling with cocktails in hand or sitting down for a plated meal.

What’s on the Catering Menu
Most of what you love on our regular dinner and lunch menu is available for catering, plus a handful of extra dishes we make especially for events. A few guest favorites that travel well:
- Homemade Pastas
Our scratch pasta is the heart of the kitchen.
- Fresh Salads
Perfect for mingling and cocktail-style events
- Passed Appetizers
Light, colorful, and easy to scale for any crowd
- Chicken Parmesan
A reliable crowd-pleaser
- The Big Meatball
Our signature, and exactly as good as it sounds
We offer appetizers, small plates, pasta dishes, entrées and dessert platters, all crafted fresh. No unrecognizable, individually packaged, pre-formed frozen food — just real, handmade, scratch-kitchen food made with care.
